The Department of Fundamentals of Building carries out research and teaching activities in the areas of design of typical general construction structures, design of energy-efficient and passive buildings, application of information technology in construction, revitalization of building structures, design of modern timber structures, as well as design and analysis of innovative structures. The Department’s staff has many years of experience in conducting scientific and didactic and expert activities in the field of general construction. The Department offers a wide range of scientific and research services, including architectural and construction design, inventories, projects for the revitalization of buildings, diagnostics and technical expertise, energy audits and certificates for buildings, as well as a number of training courses in the application of information technology in construction.

The Department of Fundamentals of Building is formed by three Teams:

  • Division of Fundamentals of Building and Sustainable Development;
  • Division of Timber Structures;
  • Division of Applied Computer Science.
